Kidney function tests
Kidney function can be examined by measuring substances in the blood that are excreted through the kidneys. Creatinine tests are most commonly used for this purpose. The test is performed on a blood sample. Kidney function tests do not require fasting or morning sampling. The treating physician is always responsible for interpreting your results.
