Inflammation blood tests are used to diagnose various inflammatory diseases. The tests are performed on blood samples. The tests do not require fasting or morning sampling. The treating physician is always responsible for interpreting your results.

CRP levels are susceptible to increase due to various inflammations, tissue damage and bacterial infections. Viral infections increase CRP levels only slightly. The reference value for a CRP test is below 4mg/l.
Name and abbreviation of test: SEDIMENTATION RATE B -La
This test is used to diagnose and monitor chronic infections and inflammatory diseases, as well as malignant tumours.
The reference values for a sedimentation rate are:
Women
- Ages under 50 years: below 20 mm/h
- Ages over 50 years: below 30 mm/h
- Ages over 85 years: below 42 mm/h
Men
- Ages under 50 years: below 15 mm/h
- Ages over 50 years: below 20 mm/h
- Ages over 85 years: below 30 mm/h
