Screening results will also be visible in MyKanta from now on

Wellbeing services counties are responsible for organising screening examinations. Both screenings produced by the wellbeing services county and those purchased as outsourced services must, going forward, be recorded in the Kanta Services. As the screening operator for the wellbeing services counties, Fimlab will start recording screening results in MyKanta as of 9 March 2026.

The results of cervical cancer and colorectal cancer screenings performed by Fimlab will be visible to screened individuals in MyKanta starting from 9 March 2026. Screening results will appear under the Laboratory examinations view in MyKanta. In addition, information about participation in the screening is displayed as a service event in MyKanta.

The screening result displayed in the Laboratory examinations view is the laboratory test result data. When you participate in cervical cancer or colorectal cancer screening, you will continue to receive your actual screening results from Fimlab as a personal letter. The result provided in the letter is based on the laboratory test data mentioned above.

How are the results displayed in the MyKanta Laboratory examinations view?

  • The name of the test is 6454 F–HHbseul
  • POS = A positive result means that blood was found in the screening sample. This is not necessarily a sign of cancer, but further examination is needed to determine the cause.
  • NEG = A negative (normal) result means that no blood has been detected in your sample, and there is no need for further examination.

How are the results shown in MyKanta used?

  • You can view your own screening results in MyKanta.
  • A healthcare professional can retrieve your screening data recorded by another healthcare organisation in the same way as other health information.
  • Comparison results are available to healthcare professionals.
