Freedom of Choice Pilot for People over 65
Sampling
Welcome to Fimlab’s sample collection services also as a customer participating in the freedom of choice pilot, with a referral from a private doctor, starting 1 September, 2025. We recommend booking an appointment for your laboratory visit.
When you arrive for sample collection, please bring your referral either electronically or on paper. After your visit, you will receive a printed summary of the examinations performed and their prices.
Please note that you cannot use the Nopsa quick blood sampling service with a referral from private healthcare.
Examination results and invoicing
Test results will be transferred to MyKanta. You can also receive the results via the Fimlab mobile app. The invoice for the examinations will be sent to you afterwards.
Examination selection and price list
The price list for the examination selection included in the freedom of choice pilot at Fimlab is aligned with the co-payment amounts defined by Kela. This means that the Kela reimbursement share is already included in the examination prices, and no separate reimbursement is applied for from Kela (Fimlab’s laboratory examinations are not eligible for Kela reimbursement).
Examination selection and price list
The examination selection and prices are based on information provided by Kela and may change if Kela updates the list of examinations eligible for Kela reimbursement
