Using the services on a private doctor’s referral
Sampling
You can use Fimlab’s sampling services also on a private doctor’s referral. We offer a limited selection of tests for customers visiting with a referral from private healthcare. We recommend booking an appointment.
When you come for sample collection, please take the electronic or paper referral with you. Our nurse will enter your information in our laboratory system in connection with the sample collection.
Once the samples are taken, you will receive a copy of the tests carried out and their prices. Please note that our laboratory tests are not reimbursed by Kela.
Examination results and invoicing
You can find your examination results on MyKanta. Learn more at kanta.fi. You can also receive results for the most common examinations on the Fimlab mobile app. Read more about the Fimlab mobile app.

The invoice for the examinations will be sent to your home address.
If you have accepted Fimlab as a sender of e-invoices in the OmaPosti service, the invoice will be sent there automatically.
Invoices are only sent:
- in Finnish and to addresses located in Finland
- to the customer (the letter will be addressed to the customer’s name)
- to one Finnish address.
Customers under non-disclosure for personal safety
If you are under non-disclosure for personal safety reasons, please provide the address where the invoice will be sent before sample collection. There will be no additional fees for customers under non-disclosure for personal safety for using this service.
Price list
Fimlab’s current price list applies to services provided by Fimlab. A separate office fee will be charged in addition to the fee for services provided by Fimlab.
