Using the services on a private doctor’s referral
Sampling
You can use Fimlab’s sampling services also on a private doctor’s referral. We recommend booking an appointment.
When you come for sample collection, please take the electronic or paper referral with you. Our nurse will enter your information in our laboratory system in connection with the sample collection.
Once the samples are taken, you will receive a copy of the tests carried out and their prices. Please note that our laboratory tests are not reimbursed by Kela.
Examination results and invoicing
You can find your examination results on MyKanta. Learn more at kanta.fi. You can also receive results for the most common examinations on the Fimlab mobile app. Read more about the Fimlab mobile app.
The invoice for the tests will be sent to your home address.
If you have accepted Fimlab as a sender of e-invoices in the OmaPosti service, the invoice will be sent there automatically.
Invoices are only sent:
- in Finnish and to addresses located in Finland
- to the customer (the letter will be addressed to the customer’s name)
- to one Finnish address.
Delivery to an address not in the Population Information System
For an additional fee, the invoice can be sent to another address in Finland that you have specified. In this case, we will charge an additional invoicing fee of EUR 10. Please tell the different address to the nurse that collects the sample before the tests are recorded in the system.
Customers under non-disclosure for personal safety
If you are under non-disclosure for personal safety reasons, please provide the address where the invoice will be sent before sample collection. There will be no additional fees for customers under non-disclosure for personal safety for using this service.
Payment commitment
Fimlab’s services can also be used with a payment commitment. You must either have the payment commitment or precise information on where the commitment can be viewed (e.g. internet address) with you. The payment commitment must be either a general commitment that is downloadable on a municipal website, for example, or clearly addressed to Fimlab. Please note that payment commitments addressed to the health centre of your municipality of residence or summer residence cannot be used for Fimlab’s services. The payment commitment must clearly indicate the payer and the billing address.
Price list
Fimlab’s current price list applies to services provided by Fimlab. A separate office fee will be charged in addition to the fee for services provided by Fimlab. For more information about pricing, please call our customer support.
