Step-by-step guide for visiting the laboratory

We want your visit to the laboratory to go as smoothly as possible.

Before arrival

You can check the address and other details of your laboratory on the “Service locations and opening hours” page. Our service locations are often accessible by public transport, and parking (paid or free) is available near all of them.

Please note that only some of our locations have a Nopsa quick blood sampling point and the possibility to queue for service. You do not need an appointment to collect and return containers for home sampling. Please take a queue ticket. In some of our locations, you can also use automatic collection and return of sample containers.

Remember to take your Kela card or other ID card with you to the laboratory.

Register at a Fimlab registration machine by showing your Kela card or other ID card to the reader. The machine will tell you that you have an appointment at that location. You will receive a printed slip from the machine. This is your queue ticket. The nurse will call the number on your queue ticket when it is your turn. You will receive a queue ticket even if you have made an appointment, so that we can call you for sample collection with the number instead of your name to protect your privacy.

You can register at the registration machine up to one hour before your reserved time and no later than five minutes after your reserved time.

Sit down to wait for your turn. A nurse will call you in the sampling room at your reserved time.
