Accessibility statement for the Extranet service
This accessibility statement applies to the service extranet.fimlab.fi and was updated on 24 March 2025.
The service is subject to the Act on the Provision of Digital Services. Under the Act, intranet and extranet websites and mobile applications used in workplaces of authorities and public law institutions must meet the accessibility requirements of the Digital Services Act if the website or application has been fully renewed on or after 23 September 2019. The accessibility of the service has been assessed by an external expert organisation.
Content not covered by the legislation
The service contains links to external websites such as YouTube. Our website also contains files that were published before 23 September 2018.
Accessibility status of the digital service
Partially compliant with accessibility requirements.
Non-accessible content
The website does not yet fully meet all accessibility requirements. The site also contains PDF files and spreadsheet documents that are not accessible. These files lack text alternatives, headings and language attributes, and their structures are partially incomplete.
Perceivable
- Some links that open in a new tab are marked with icons but are not programmatically named. The behaviour of these links may come as a surprise to screen reader users, for example. (1.1.1 Non-text Content, 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context))
- There are deficiencies in the use of HTML heading levels; for example, the H1 heading level is missing or headings appear in an incorrect order.
(1.3.1 Info and Relationships) - On mobile devices, some content extends beyond the width of the page and becomes hidden, and reducing the page scale does not resolve the issue. (1.4.10 Reflow)
Operable
- The website is not yet fully accessible using a keyboard. (2.1.1 Keyboard)
- The purchasing path for ordering products and the feedback survey cannot be fully used with a keyboard. (2.1.1 Keyboard)
- Not all link texts are descriptive or meaningful when taken out of context, for example “Read more” or “Opens in a new tab”. Some links also lack information indicating that they lead outside the website. (2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context))
Understandable
- Some pages contain content that differs from the language specified for the page. For example, Finnish-language content appears on English- and Swedish-language pages. (3.1.1 Language of Page)
- The website contains links that open external websites in a new tab without warning. Not all links leading to ZIP or PDF files indicate the file format. (3.2.4 Consistent Identification)
Robust
- Some issues have been identified in ARIA markup. (4.1.2 Name, Role, Value)
