There will be changes to Fimlab’s services in the Central Finland region during April–May 2026.

The opening hours of the service locations will change as follows:

• Fimlab Pihtipudas will be open from 20 April on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 to 14:30
  (previously Mon–Thu 7:00–14:30 and Fri 7:00–12:45).
• Fimlab Joutsa will be open from 20 April on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 to 14:45
  (previously Mon 8:00–14:30, Tue and Wed 8:00–14:45, and Fri 8:00–13:00).
• Fimlab Keuruu will be open from 11 May Mon–Thu 7:30–14:45 and Fri 7:30–12:45
  (previously Mon, Tue and Thu 8:00–14:45, Wed 8:00–14:15 and Fri 8:00–12:45).

Residents of the Central Finland region can visit any Fimlab service location regardless of their place of residence.

Easy and quick service: sample container machine introduced at Fimlab Jämsä Main Health Centre

An automatic collection and return of sample containers has been introduced at Fimlab Jämsä Main Health Centre.

The machine allows customers to collect and return sample containers conveniently without a queue number.

Sample containers can also be collected and returned as before by taking a queue number.

A valid referral is required

To use the automatic collection and return of sample containers, the customer must have a valid referral issued by the wellbeing services county and must know which sample container to collect from the machine.

This information is provided by the healthcare unit that issued the referral.

The machine can be used by customers who collect or return sample containers for the following urine and stool tests:

• Urine albumin/creatinine ratio U -AlbKre
• Basic urine tests U -KemSeul, U -Solut, U -BaktVi
• Faecal calprotectin F -Calpro
