Customers in Pirkanmaa and Kanta-Häme can choose to receive the results of the most common examinations by SMS. The service is useful to patients using anticoagulant or cholesterol medication, for example. You will receive the results as soon as they are ready, even in the evening and on the weekend. Continue your self-treatment according to the instructions provided by your doctor.

The service is offered free of charge to customers of public and private health care. The results of the most common examinations are sent to the mobile phone number given by the customer. Please note that the results should only be sent to the customer’s own mobile phone number, not to a member of their family or a healthcare professional.

The message only contains the results without mentioning the customer’s name. This protects the privacy of the customer in case the phone number given is incorrect.

Service policy

The SMS service is available to customers in Pirkanmaa and Kanta-Häme.

When you arrive at a Fimlab Laboratoriot service location in Pirkanmaa or Kanta-Häme for sample collection, you must request to receive your test results by SMS at the start of the appointment. The sampler will enter your mobile phone number in the laboratory requisition in the information system. When your results are ready, the system will automatically send a separate message for each test to the phone number provided. There can be a slight delay between each message.

Your mobile phone number is recorded in the system. Make sure that the mobile phone number you give to the sampler is correct. Fimlab Laboratoriot is not responsible for updating your phone number, any connection problems due to your mobile operator or if a message cannot be received because your telephone subscription blocks service numbers.

The results should only be sent to the customer’s own mobile phone number, not to a member of their family or a healthcare professional.

If you have questions about laboratory services, you can reach our customer advice service at (03) 3117 4445 on weekdays 8-16. This number is not used for appointment booking.
